Job Summary
GuideStone Financial Resources (GSFR) and GuideStone Investment Services (GSIS) are seeking an Associate Investment Analyst to join our portfolio management team. This role supports the Senior Manager of Research in providing research and due diligence across alternative investments, with a particular focus on real assets (real estate and infrastructure).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with limited investment industry experience to grow into a key contributor on our private markets team. You’ll work across multiple investment areas and help evaluate opportunities for institutional pools of capital including endowments, foundations, and operating reserves.
What You'll Do
Support manager/fund sourcing and due diligence efforts, building a strong referral network and maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Assist in developing investment themes and identifying market inefficiencies across global alternative strategies.
Participate in deal team meetings across equity, debt, real assets, and hedge funds, offering feedback and challenging investment theses.
Conduct diligence on co-investment and secondary opportunities.
Build advanced analytical skills and contribute to macroeconomic discussions and thematic investing.
Maintain strategic relationships with assigned managers/funds and support ongoing portfolio management.
Prepare detailed investment recommendation memos and standardized research documentation.
Produce quarterly manager reports and update liquidity models.
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and finance teams to ensure thorough due diligence and policy adherence.
Assist with portfolio analytics and cash flow projections as needed.
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree required.
CFA or CAIA designation (or in progress) preferred.
Minimum 2 years of investment industry experience; 1 year of manager due diligence preferred.
Strong understanding of real asset strategies and terminology (e.g., real estate, infrastructure preferred).
Proficiency in quantitative evaluation methods and statistical analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to conduct independent research and develop well-supported recommendations.
Experience with Addepar, Bloomberg, Style Advisor, and/or Preqin is a plus.
High level of confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
