The Total Rewards Specialist will leverage and deploy strong analytical and consultative expertise to work with HR Business Partners, employees, people managers, and the broader Human Resources team in assisting with communication, training, administration, and support related to compensation and benefits for GuideStone employees and retirees in enhancing the employee value proposition.


What you will do:

  • Responsible for quantitative analyses, research, recommendations, presentations, and thought partnership concerning compensation and benefits matters.

  • Accurately curate all data within all applicable systems, reports, integrations, and dashboards

  • Identify and analyze HR industry trends for all aspects of total rewards and make recommendations for changes to offerings and policies as needed.

  • Distill data and craft compelling presentations based on research and quantitative data to inform and influence the total rewards landscape.

  • Benchmark current or new jobs for internal and external equity via salary survey partnerships, oversee salary administration, benefits and performance management to contribute to the attraction and retention of our employees.

  • Communicate complex HR jargon and concepts in an easily digestible manner with a strong focus on internal customers.

  • Effectively work on multiple projects and duties simultaneously as assigned. 

  • Administer and monitor enrollments, changes, terminations, monthly payments, NDT testing and annual reporting in compliance with state and federal laws.

  • Prepare various reports externally for governmental reporting such as for EEOC and TWC.

  • Administer and monitor disability and leave policies in compliance with State and Federal laws.

  • Administer and report Workers Compensation claims.

  • Participate on project teams and be recognized and respected as a subject matter expert.

  • Other duties may be assigned.


What you will need:

  • Must have ability to research current HR trends and make proposals with data in a compelling and succinct way.

  • Experience with Workday is preferred

  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly in PowerPoint (Strong ability to present and use data to convey and influence action) and Excel (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF Statements)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees including C-Suite.

  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in retirement and insurance plan administration is preferred.

  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information

  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field required (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred)

  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), preferred.
